| Greens: |  10/10 | Some of the best greens I've played on, ever. Good size with nice contours. You can easily see where pin placement can add to the challenge.
If there was anything to complain about it was the hardness of the greens as it wasn't often we'd see a hit and stick. |
| Fairways: | 9/10 | Fairways were in great shape.
Visible 150 markers with the occasional other stake where necessary. Sprinkler heads also have yardages marked.
Even with the marking stated about it can be a bit tough to find your yardage.
Some fairways get quite narrow.
Wind often adds to the difficulty of club selection. |
| Tees: | 9/10 | Four tee decks with some very stunning views, especially hole #11.
Easy to establish flat footing. |
| Course Design: | 9/10 | Great design. Lots of nice elevation changes and rarely any blind shots.
The one hole that seems out of place is #17; an uphill par 3 over a conservation area with only the flag visible from the tee. When playing this hole you'll probably want to drive ahead to see the green layout and pin placement.
Hazards are abundant. I counted 98 bunkers in the yardage book.

| Value for $$$: | 9/10 | It's not often you can play a professional course for under $100. Don't miss out on playing Crowbush when in PEI. In fact, you'll probably want a second crack at this monster. |
| Difficulty: | 9/10 | Crowbush doesn't look tough from the clubhouse but once you're on the course expect to lose some balls.
Hole #11 is the toughest hole I've ever played and will play tough for all skill levels.
The difficulty of the course starts about hole #5 and continues to the end of you round. |
| Scenery: | 9/10 | Bring your camera!
Take some scenic shots to make your friends envious.
Watch out for the thick bush. If you travel any further then a few feet from a cut area it's probably a goner. |
| Staff: | 8/10 | We saw the beverage cart a couple of times.
Friendly staff but I didn't see as many as expected.
I was surprised to see the fellow from the bag drop area also supplying balls at the driving range. He was handling both jobs and it was a good hike apart. |
| Clubhouse: | 7/10 | A decent pro shop for clothing and minor golf supplies. Only rental clubs were visible.
The clubhouse is a bit small and not quite as upscale as I would expect for Crowbush. |
| Other Intangibles: | 9/10 | An excellent yardage book is available at no cost.
The occasional sign should be added for cart path directions. |

An attendant needs to be at the range as golfers blatantly ignored signage of "use mats" and "irons only". I was quite annoyed.
The strongest winds I've played in quite some time and I was told it was a mild day. |

| Greens: | 8/10 | These greens were fairly large, quick and mostly true. Some had a large number of poorly-repaired ball marks. Most of the greens had ridges dividing the green into distinct sections and many had false fronts as well. We found them to be quite firm making it difficult to keep our shots close to where we were landing on the green. |
| Fairways: | 9/10 | Most fairways were in great condition. Only the 150 yard markers were easily visible but all fairways had a 100 yard marker in the ground and many sprinkler heads were marked. Some holes also had markings on the cart path. The yardage from all of the sprinkler heads was also indicated in the course booklet. |
| Tees: | 9/10 | Three sets of tees were in use when we played, plus there was one more option for top level players that was not in use that day. All of the tees were level, in good condition and clearly marked on the signs. |
| Course Design: | 9/10 | The course layout was very pleasant with many spectacular views. The extensive mounding and bunkering made for an attractive look on nearly all holes. My only issue was with hole #16 where a strong drive to the corner of a dog-leg hole created the possibility of hitting through the fairway and onto a public beach. Fortunately, the beach was not inhabited when we played. |
| Value for $$$: | 9/10 | Crowbush provides good value since it is reasonably priced for a high-end course. It was very enjoyable and I would certainly play it again. |
| Difficulty: | 8/10 | While it was a fair course in terms of its toughness, this course is not for the weak of heart. Make no mistake; this course is difficult. |
| Scenery: | 10/10 | The location of this course provides an opportunity for some spectacular views and the course design takes advantage of them. Crowbush is well-maintained throughout and in excellent shape. |
| Staff: | 9/10 | Members of staff were friendly, easy to talk to, and willing to assist. We were a little surprised that the staff member at the bag-drop area seemed to also be responsible for the practice area, even though they were not close to one another. |
| Clubhouse: | 8/10 | The clubhouse was a very nice facility with a reasonably large Pro shop on the main level that was well-stocked with clothing and other golf necessities. Like most other courses on the island, clubs were not sold in the Pro Shop. The lounge on the top level was a little smaller than expected, but included a large outdoor deck with numerous tables around two sides that afforded terrific views of the course and its surroundings. |
| Other Intangibles: | 9/10 | The practice facility was quite good. We were surprised that the staff didn't enforce the posted rules (i.e. no use of drivers allowed on the range). There was very little wind on the day that we played which we were told was unusual. Most directions on the course were very good and clearly marked. The course booklet was very well done with ample information about every hole. |
