| Greens: |  9/10 | The greens were excellent with a number of green side bunkers filled with excellent white sand and well maintained. There was only one cut for the fringe and it was at the fairway level before reaching fairly thick, even rough. The greens were not overly undulating with most sloping back to front. There were at least two greens that were elevated. |
| Fairways: | 10/10 | The fairways were very green and in excellent condition. Some of the fairways had some undulations while the rest were smooth. The fairway bunkers were in very good shape with beautiful white sand. Mature spruce and poplar trees framed the fairways and the rough was trimmed under the trees preventing you from loosing your golf ball. Cart paths and sprinkler heads were marked and the first cut was even making the already generous fairways even easier to hit. The various ponds were short of water but they had plenty of rocks around the edges making them appear very attractive. |
| Tees: | 8/10 | Sundre has four tee boxes, colored black, orange, blue and white. They were all in good shape with necessary equipment including attractive signs and official distance markers.

| Course Design: | 8/10 | The first hole is a very attractive starting hole. It has a fountain in the lake which is trimmed with river rocks and very white bunkers that frame the fairway. They have two good par threes, the second has a creek that crosses in front of the green. The par fives are also good with water coming into play on three of them. The course is designed with an out and back lay out where you head north until turning back at number five and then you do the same again for the back nine. The 18th hole was a little weak being a slight dog leg left at less then 300 yards. |
| Value for $$$: | 8/10 | The value at Sundre is very good. You get a very well conditioned course that is attractive and the power carts are included in the green fees. Monday to Friday the fees are $75 and on the weekend it is $10 more.

| Difficulty: | 8/10 | The numerous water holes and bunkers made up the difficulty on this course. The slopes are 131, 128, 124 and 114 with the distances being 6761, 6257, 5991 and 5097. The course has six short par fours that ranged from 338 to 291 from the blue tees. Even though there are a number of holes where water comes into play you can avoid the ponds. The course is flat with no elevation changes so and easy course to walk. |
| Scenery: | 8/10 | The condition of the course really adds to the scenic beauty as it is as green as anything I saw in Ireland. The mature trees and the ponds and creek are well maintained. Even though the course is close to the foot hills of the Rockies you can not see them as the course is flat and the trees frame each fairway.

| Staff: | 5/10 | The pro shop and restaurant staff were excellent and very friendly.

| Clubhouse: | 8/10 | The club house and its entrance are great. There are lots of flowers, and an artificial creek that runs from the 9th green in front of the club house and parking lot. You know when you drive up to the entrance that you have selected a quality course for your up coming round. The deck is large and overlooks the 1st and 10th tees. They have locker rooms, a good lounge and a large banquet room. The pro shop is well stocked. The half way house is on the deck and set up for quick delivery of food and beverages.

| Other Intangibles: | 8/10 | The course has a driving range, excellent paved continuous cart paths with the 90 degree rule in operation. There were attractive and c lean washrooms at various locations as well as a few shelters. The power cart was very clean and had a rain cover for our clubs. The beverage cart came around quite often.

The course is very attractive and in great shape. The small details were taken care of such as well trimmed rough with some of the rough having wood chips scattered around the base of the trees. You will enjoy your round if you choose to play Sundre and we recommend the course.
