The rock is a great facility. The Rock Golf Club, designed by legendary golfer Nick Faldo, has been artfully sculpted on the shores of one of Muskoka's premier lakes, Lake Rosseau. Utilizing the site's dynamic topography, the 6,649-yard course is carved tight with narrow tree-lined fairways and sloping greens that wind through rock outcroppings, hardwood trees and rolling hills.
Nick Faldo's in-depth knowledge of the game's finer subtleties and intricacies, combined with his considerable worldwide experience is reflected in his talent as a course designer. The Rock boasts natural hazards and challenges that reward accuracy, a tribute to Faldo's abilities as "the shot-maker." And, the course has been crafted in such a way so as to inspire golfers of all levels with an emphasis on strategy and playability.

Lots of contours on the greens and difficult reads. Top notch!
Narrow fairways and sometimes difficult to reach from the tee. There's a few locations where you'll want to drive ahead to see what's in front of you as some of the elevations are quite dramatic.
Many elevated tees but alignment is good and each allow you to view the sheer beauty of the hole you're playing.
I'm impressed. Great use of the landscape incorporating the rock (a just name for the course) and elevations identified with the Muskoka escarpment.
I'm be back! This is one course I want to play again even with the higher price tag then what I'm used to. The Rock gave me every challenge imaginable and losing all those balls didn't make me feel bad.
Many people told us the course is too tough and I agree; but I still love it.
Extremely difficult for the novice golfer or short ball hitter. This is the toughest course I have ever played. Having said this, I love the layout and welcome the challenge again.
I don't believe there's very many golfers that can play a round at The Rock and not lose a ball.
Breathtaking scenery! I haven't heard so many "ahhs" in one round.
It appeared we were the first to tee off on the morning we played. Staff was courteous and friendly but a few appeared a bit on the sleepy side.
First time I've seen staff give a standing ovation for a difficult putt that was made by one of our foursome.
No need to play this course. Simply enjoy the view from the gorgeous clubhouse. Exchange pine trees for palm trees and I would have felt I was in Florida.
The waffle I had for breakfast in the clubhouse was the best I've ever tasted.
We had a beautiful morning. A fire burning beside the bag drop was a nice touch (besides adding warmth).
The Rock also has a driving range near the first tee. I always like to warm up by hitting a dozen balls before my game.
Cart paths are paved and it's easy to navigate the course.
It must be a tough life living in the Muskoka area with all these great courses to choose from. The Rock combines difficulty with beauty.
    Tip #1: Don't walk!

Greens were simply beautiful, and very fast.
Personably the nicest fairways I've ever seen... unbelievable.
Tees were in great shape, nice size, gorgeous views... top notch.
Tough to find anything a nicer design. Maybe Taboo would match it. Truly breathtaking.
A little pricey from what we're used to at home, but we don't have courses and landscaping like this either. Definitely worth a shot, you won't be disappointed.
Tougher than what the average golfer can handle, but still worth a try.
This course is easily... breathtaking!!! Check out the photos.
Nice people, nice service, but it would be tough to match Taboo for their friendly service. Either way, you don't play The Rock for it's service, you play for it's beauty and grace.
Clubhouse is truly comparable to clubhouses you see on TV. Kudos to The Rock.
Fantastic job folks. Everything you'd expect and want at such a high level place such as this.
Play it and you'll remember it always. Thank you for this great opportunity.
