With the original nine holes constructed over 75 years ago by an avid group of local volunteers, the Pembroke Golf Club is part of the history and traditions of its namesake area. The addition of a second nine, designed by well known golf architect Graham Cook, was completed in 1982 in response to an increasing demand for more play in the area.
The Pembroke Golf Club today is a magnificent 6,730 yard championship course.

Although small in size, the greens at Pembroke Shores hold nicely and are in top shape. Many greens have a steady slope and location on the green can gave a great bearing on the outcome of your score.
Fairways vary in width and knowledge of the course can be a key factor off the tee. Good shape. A bit of standing water but I believe there was a heavy rain the previous day.
Four sets of tees with the longest being in the 6,600 yardage area. A bit uneven but you can generally find a flat area to tee it up.
A few errors on yardage signs.
The first two holes border the Ottawa River but only the poorest of drives should ever reach the drink.
The signature 15th hole is a tough par 3 with a narrow green and pond in front. Pin placement can really make this hole tough.
An easy walk with very little change in elevation.
Bunkers can be a bit hard and only seem to be found around the greens.
Par 5s are rarely reachable in two.
Some tees and greens are a bit close together.
Good price and the course plays quick. We were off in less than 4 hours walking with a full course on board.
A worthy play if you're in the area.
The greens can be a real challenge if your putting game is off. Even with the small greens they don't seem to play small.
Underbrush can be thick making it not worth the effort to look in some cases.
From the clubhouse you can get a nice view across the Ottawa River.
Beverage cart was around early and our tee off was at 9:00am.
Directions and help were always offered.
Pro Shop and Clubhouse are two separate buildings. Both appeared neat and orderly.
Gorgeous weather. I expected a bit of a wind being next to the Ottawa River but it was a calm day. Trees shield much of the wind.
Directions to the next hole are a bit sparse and ball washers are not always conveniently located.
Nice scorecard with a good course layout.
A great play in the Ottawa Valley. A homey feeling course.
    Thanks, Paul!
