Large greens in excellent shape. Rolls were true but not overly fast. Pin placement was a bit hard to determine on a few holes as the marker was on the pin. If you can't see the full pin, you don't know where the flag is located.
Again, fairways in very good condition due to lots of rain in the area. 200, 150, and 100 yard plates in the fairway with the 150 yardage also having stakes at the side of the fairway.
Good fairway width with trees often protecting a ball from crossing to another hole.
Tees are good shape and flat. Even the par 3s didn't show a lot of wear.
Wrong yardage on scorecard for hole #14 (a par 3). I had to make a trip back to my bag to select another club.
A couple of holes have elevated tees.
An easy walk except for hole #16 which is a bit of an uphill climb. Hole #16 is by far the toughest hole on the course. Oddly it is handicapped as 14.
Also, deja vu on a few holes; namely #11 and #12. The yardage is slightly different but they feel the same.
Bunkers are decent with some tough lips.
Average priced but very difficult to get on the course. You'll need to book well ahead or be subject to a poor tee time. Hammond is in high demand.
Rough can be very thick and a struggle to get out of with finesse shots.
Not a lot of toughness throughout but a few holes can add to your score.
Hammond is nicely manicured. The greens can pose a challenge for long putts.
The course feels away from it all and quite serene.
Hammond is a busy place so everyone is busy. There wasn't much time to stop and chat for any one. The starter tried to put all golfers in to foursomes so your tee time could be bumped a bit if a member of your group fails to show.
The beverage cart was around as soon as the timing allowed.
Clubhouse is in a good location, nice design, and adequate space.
Perhaps a few too many doors of the clubhouse were locked as one of our foursome tried to visit a washroom after 9 holes and couldn't get in a door that looked like an obvious entrance.
Ball washers were available on every hole.
The route of the course is very easy to follow.
The scorecard can use having the complete course rating added to it.
A couple of portable washrooms on course.
I've been trying to get on Hammond for a few weeks but with little success as tee times are at a premium. The course always seems to be busy which makes me wonder whether it's worth it for the course to handle any tournaments.
