Greens were nice and fast. Be wary of some downhill putts as it's easy to run a ball well past the hole. Many large and spacious greens.
Well groomed fairways. Width of fairways can be an issue as rough is thick (and woods is thicker). Some tight holes will require good club selection.
Yardage markers are very clear.
Be wary of tee angles. Tee markers do not always line up with the best direction to hit a ball. Many options and club selection await you.
Four sets of tee boxes. The championship Gold is over 7000 yards. Each tee box plays like a different course.
Many options from ball positioning. A lot of risk and reward offered.
A few huge waste bunkers that can be very costly in the score.
Bunkers are well positioned and sand is very soft (the way is should be).
Since ClubLink has taken over the course pricing has gone way up. Eagle Creek was a great course at a reasonable price. Now it's a great course at a price.
Shot my worst round of the year with no excuses. I'll be up for another challenge sometime soon.
Eagle Creek can be very tough if you don't make good decisions. Cut your loses while you can.
Chose the right tee box for your playing ability as it's not worth the frustration of playing something beyond your skill level.
Underbrush is thick so don't spend a lot of time looking for your ball. Course is well treed and relatively flat.
Lots of staff seen performing maintenance on the course. Many bunkers were being raked and more sand added.
Some scenic holes. I particularly like the look of the holes with the large waste bunkers (#2, #11). #18 is a great risk and reward hole.
Staff went about their business and were wary not to interfere with our game. Always had a kind word to say when talked to.
The clubhouse overlooks the golf course from the highest peak.
Top notch design and layout.
The ClubLink scorecards are rather dull as every one of their courses now seem to adopt the same colour scheme and format. You'd think for the money ClubLink seems to possess that they design scorecards unique to their courses.
Cart paths are all interlocking brick so never a doubt as to where the next hole can be found.
This is apparently the last season Eagle Creek will be taking tee times from the public as next year ClubLink plans are to be fully private.
