    Sculpted over gently rolling terrain, amongst ponds and scenic woodlands, Chippewa Creek offers an easy-going, player-friendly layout. But it’s not without its challenges.
    Two of the most challenging holes of the course are the 7th White Hawk and the 9th Gold Eagle. At par three, the 7th plays 197 yards from the back tees over water to a peninsula green surrounded by hazards on three sides. The 9th hole is a long par four at 445 yards from the blues, and often plays into a wind. A slight dogleg right and a side-mounded fairway lead to a well-bunkered green.
    Another hole to watch for is the 5th Gold Eagle. At only 309 yards, this tricky par four doglegs left, over a marsh area and through a tree-lined undulating fairway. The second shot provides the challenge as you aim for a pin placement on an elevated green that is guarded in front by a bunker on the right and by bush and out-of-bounds to the rear.
    One of the most visually appealing holes is the 9th White Hawk. An elevated tee overlooks this picturesque 163 yard par three. Your shot will track directly over a pond that nestles tightly up to a peanut-shaped green guarded by a bunker on the left corner. Muskrats and blue herons love to frequent this hole and can often be seen fishing by the water’s edge. But don’t let the scenery distract you. Depending on the direction and strength of the wind, your tee shot on this hole can be a worthy challenge for any club in your bag!
