Nestled in the attractive valley of Duffin's Creek in the town of Ajax, the Annandale Golf & Curling club is an average-length, 18-hole course that offers an excellent retreat for a game of golf. The course is a par 71 measuring approximately 6000 yards, and our facilities include a driving range, snack bar, dining lounge, and tavern.

The greens were rather small with not much contour. Get on and go straight for the hole.
For a course that has an extremely high volume of traffic, the fairways were in remarkably good shape.
Tees were a bit worn and lumpy. Sometimes difficult to find even ground for a tee shot.
Great variation in lengths for the par 3s. I'm sure I used a different club for every tee shot. Hole #11 at 225 yards (from the Blues) makes this one of the longer par 3s I've played.
The course had more elevation changes then I expected for being in the heart of a city.
Taking into account the location of the course, the price to play a round is very reasonable. A membership is a steal compared to the rates at home (Ottawa, ON).
A bit of water, a bit of sand, and a bit of trees. Not a lot of everything but not lacking in anything. Reasonably spacious.
Scenery was better than expected for being right beside the 401. Noisy on some holes as you hear the high speed traffic going by. The trees surrounding the course keep it sheltered. If it wasn't for the noise I would never have known that the highway was so close.
Extremely pleasant and talkative staff. We teed off before 7:00am and had the entire course to ourselves as a tournament was on at 9:30am.
We saw a lot of maintenance being done on the course.
An older clubhouse design containing 8 curling sheets. A bit of work appeared to be under way on the exterior.
    Proshop contained the basics.
A bit of a hike to carry your clubs down to the carts. No bag drop.
Show me some signs! Without a scorecard it would be easy to get lost. Even from a few tee we weren't quite sure where the green was.
A few bridges are banned for carts so there's some extra driving involved.
We ran across a few ex-members of Annandale the previous day and they gave us some details on the course. They were a bit down on the course in some ways but I didn't find it nearly as bad as indicated. Such is normally the case.
It appeared a golf camp was being run for juniors and from all indications, Annandale would appear to be a great place to learn the game.
